Common Questions About This Course

Do I need to know Arabic to take this course?

You need to be able to read basic Arabic letters. If you’re a complete beginner, we recommend starting with our Noorani Qaida course first. After that, you’ll be ready for Tajweed.

Yes — for dedicated students. Many of our teachers hold Ijazah and can guide you through the long process. This typically takes 2-4 years of consistent study and memorization.
Practical Tajweed (which we focus on) integrates rules naturally into your recitation. Theory alone doesn’t make you a better reciter. Our teachers help you internalize Tajweed so it becomes second nature.
Most students learn the Riwaya of Hafs from Asim (the most common worldwide). Advanced students interested in 10 Qira’at can be matched with a specialized teacher.
